Bio

Ashish Talwar is a member of the National Executive of the Aam Aadmi Party. Talwar was in-charge of the party’s MCD election campaign in April, 2017. He has also played critical roles in building a robust organisation in Delhi for each election that the party has fought since 2013. He is known to have intimate knowledge of every ward of Delhi, its social and economic construct and problems.

Talwar started his political career with the Congress party, but exited politics entirely in 2007. In 2012, Arvind Kejriwal invited him to join the AAP. Born and raised in Karol Bagh, he says, “Politics and elections were part of my DNA as I watched and studied the electoral process using nothing but common sense, something that only Aam Aadmi Party uses in Indian politics,” says Talwar.

Quote: “AAP’s legacy will be about bringing a new generation of leaders into Indian politics,” he says.
